I used Hygrozyme for the 1st time last evening. I was told that it be beneficial to transplanting of my plants (4 wks in veg), would help my plants increase the speed and uptake of their nutes. as well as other things. I can tell you it was amazing. I was having a big time "N" issue (Chlorotic low to mid leaf yellowing, heading upward at an alarming rate of speed, tops light green).
B4 I repotted I dampened the new pH adjusted media, with 30% of the label make-up, fish fertilizer (de-odorized ) and Hygrozyme (full make-up as per label) until good and damp (not mud ) ***Note - Hygrozyme & Fish nutes were pH also adjusted.I repotted and then placed them outside the direct light in my grow area. I made up 1 liter of a 20% Hygrozyme and 10% fish fertilizer make-up (as per labels) and pH adjusted. I foliar sprayed the entire plants very thoroughly and let sit. Made up 2 gals of water and Hygrozyme per label, adjusted pH, and fed pots as directed. After 20 mins, I checked on them. I thought at first "hmm, are these girls actually turning green already? Nah, must be the light." An hr. later I checked 'em again, and I thought " Holy s**t, these girls are green as h***!" The "N" had passed all the way up to the tops in an hour!.Then this morning I checked them. There is absolutely no sign of a transplant or an "N" deficiency at all! Plants are straight up, leaves straight out, and all but the very bottom sets of leaves are lush green and happy Any of the bottom leaf sets that didn't become necrotic (a minimal few and very bottom only) are showing as light green. I'm leaving this post 'cause I didn't find much in the way of posts when I searched "Hygrozyme". It's expensive enough to scare someone off if they're not sure it will help. Granted, this is my 1st experience with it. but I'll tell you what. I'm now a convinced user. It will now be a common part of my plant maintenance. Maybe someone else will leave a reply that says it didn't work for them. Lets see.
Another top secret formulae, this time from the enzyme specialists from Canada, Sipco Industries Ltd. This is 100% organic (OMRI listed) and is also bacteria free making it perfect for hydroponics. It contains many active enzymes with unlimited shelf life and has been laboratory and field tested with proven results. With 30 years experience specialising in producing enzymes, were not surprised this solution from Sipco’s plant sciences division is very impressive. Seriously increases root mass, nutrient uptake and plant growth. As the enzymes are not associated with bacteria, H2O2 can be used in low ppm with this product. Will work well with any feed, nutrient package. Good for soil, hydro or soil.
here's 32 days from seed. I changed the rez last night to early bloom phase nutes. I had a sharp rise in pH while I was away for the day today. It went from 5.8 to 6.6. in 13 hours. I'll know for next time. I have a feeling that the Silica Blast may help stabilize the pH early on like that. I think the Hygrozyme may have something to do with the quick rise in pH, although not a bad thing if you look after things. I can tell with each nute change that the new dose of Hygrozyme goes to work on the root system immediatly. You can see what the enzymes do to the roots by looking closely at the resevoir. It's almost like it causes the roots to "shed their skin" and rinse away old root matter into the resevoir. Supposedly the exfoliated root matter turns to sugar or is utilized somehow by the plants or so it says. It does make your new resevoir look not so new though. That's my observation anyway.
Hygrozyme is part of a healthy nutreint regime that should eliminate the problem or need for sm-90
I guess you could use it up until mid flower or until flushing is about to start. I will get readin and experimenting with it and we shall see all the variations for success we can come up with.
Hygrozyme is an enzyme that breaks down proteins. This helps the nutrients to eat up the nutrients faster. It also prevent Pythium and algae from forming.
We think a better choice is to continue using organic material, but also using an enzymatic addtive like Hygrozyme that will break down the unwanted organic matter in the reservoir .
Hygrozyme is by far one of my favorite supplements, expensive, but great.
i use "tarantula" from advanced nutrients (beneficial bacteria of 57 microorganisms with 1.4 billion....highest concentration ..... . i also use "grozyme", from hygrozyme, (superior enzymes., or so i'm told).
I'm a huge fan of Hygrozyme... it is an enzyme formula that breaks down dead proteins in the root zone which in turn makes nutrients available to the plant... I use it in my Waterfarm set up throughout the entire cycle and I wouldn't grow without it....
